Elrufai Should Release Kefas or Kill Him; Southern Kaduna Youths Blows Hot

It is no longer news that a certain young man of the southern Kaduna stock by the name of Mr Steven Kefas has been in detention for over 90 days now.

He was arrested by the Kaduna authorities in Port Harcourt on charges of cybercrime with intent to incite the public and probably cause an uprising.

Even though I am not a  "learned" gentleman, I know that all cases except treason and homicide are bailable. All attempts to release him on bail have proved abortive. I, and other concerned  citizens have tried to reach out to  those who were offended by the detainee but we were rebuffed. Forgiveness is not on their table. We asked that he be released so we can talk to him as older brothers but they wouldn't hear of it! And the draconian regime has not deemed it fit to either let him go on bail or convict him so that he can appeal his case at a higher court.

Admittedly, Steven Kefas may have done some untoward things that has irked those who think they will be in power forever, the right thing is expected to be done, but they dont seem to be in hurry to do so. They instead revere in his incarceration without trial. Those who betrayed him into his arrest are his own people, some of whom are reading this post now. Those who have kept him in a cell are also from his kith and kin.

Lest we forget, power is transient and Steven Kefas may someday be in power or may have friends in power  who can get at those he deems are punishing him today. If they cannot release him on bail or put him on trial, it is time to kill him so he can finally rest! The continuous official impunity is becoming disgusting.

Again, Gunmen Abducts Four, Kills One In Chikun Area of Kaduna State.

Less than a week after six students and two teachers of Kaduna Engravers school were abducted by gunmen on monday killed one person and abducted four others at Angwan Barau in Chikun local government area of the state. Report coming from the community showed that the bandits arrived in the area and shot sporadically into the air, sending panic into the minds of the residents. According to residents "one person was killed, while four persons, including the wife of the pastor of Godiya Baptist Church in the community, were taken away by the kidnappers.
