North Wont Vote For Any Party Who Fails To Field Presidential Candidate From Region -Arewa

The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) has said any political party that fails to field a Northerner as its presidential candidate for the next presidential election should have itself to blame.

 Following an interview with journalists, the president of the forum, Alhaji Yerima Shettima said that there are speculations in some quarters that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) might fizzle out of power should it fail to allow a Northerner as a presidential candidate in 2023.

 President Muhammadu Buhari, who is from the North, began his second term in May and will step down in 2023. Some leaders of his party are insisting power must shift to the South.

"Nobody or group has the constitutional right to prevent the region from fielding candidate in 2023". 

"The people of the zone would make use of its numerical strength to determine the outcome of the election, advised any political party that refuses to zone its presidential ticket to the North should blame itself". Alhaji Shettima added.

Again, Gunmen Abducts Four, Kills One In Chikun Area of Kaduna State.

Less than a week after six students and two teachers of Kaduna Engravers school were abducted by gunmen on monday killed one person and abducted four others at Angwan Barau in Chikun local government area of the state. Report coming from the community showed that the bandits arrived in the area and shot sporadically into the air, sending panic into the minds of the residents. According to residents "one person was killed, while four persons, including the wife of the pastor of Godiya Baptist Church in the community, were taken away by the kidnappers.
